Her first professional writing experience came with the Kettering-Oakwood Times, where she chronicled her experiences in France with The Experiment in International Living.

She later worked as a publicist for Ammirati Puris Lintas, the Puerto Rico Economic Development Administration, Rums of Puerto Rico, and Sweet Briar College. She was also editor of the corporate magazines for Champion International, U.S. Plywood, and C.I.T. Financial Corporation. In the early 1970s she appeared as a reporter on an episode of WNET’s The 51st State.

Later Career and Film Work: Kristin served as president of The Kuhns Investment Co. LLC, a small, privately held family investment company in Dayton. She also worked as a producer and writer for several film projects and was a featured writer on The Black List.
